RR.146 – the leviathan’s mandible – discography

Bands come, bands go.  That’s just the circle of life.  In the mid 2000’s, how weird is saying that?  Myspace was booming and bands had a faster way to get out to fans all over the world.  Anyone who is anyone had a Myspace back in the day, even the hardcore I never had ones had one.  The Leviathan’s Mandible in my opinion is one of the most underrated grindcore acts to come out during this time period.  My wife was making fun of me because I was telling time by what I was using at the time which is why I used the whole Myspace angle on this post.  I met these guys on Myspace, I met alot of my friends now on Myspace, that thing helped alot of us musicians get out there and put out our art.  Some of us didn’t know others out there, well I can’t speak for anyone else buy myself, but that point of time was a big changing point in music on the internet.  But back to the post at hand, TLM is not a band anymore but do plan on releasing one final album and do a few farewell shows sometime in the future.  This Discography is a compilation of all the material recorded after becoming a full band.  If you remember TLM from back in the day you remember it was a drum machine driven band and hopefully we can convince them to let us release that era of TLM some day.  I would like to thank Travis and Fred for being friends with me all these years, even if its just online friends otherwise.  Thanks for always coming to me when you have something special lined up for everyone.  Thanks for The Leviathan’s Mandible, we all look forward to all of your future musical projects.  -RR!

I have known the guys of The Leviathan’s Mandible for more years now then I can remember.  Never have I ever met them in person, just like most of the artists on my roster that is still under construction.  Over the years I have befriended more people then I have in real life.  I don’t know if this is a good thing or not but to me it works out fucking awesome.  When I first started this label my one mission was to release music done by myself and my friends.  It quickly picked up steam and is now what it is today, half net label half free music site.  This year was the year of free music, even though we have been doing this forever it had become something everyone had to do.  With the death of CD’s, c’mon we all know you rarely buy any these days, digital music is where people invest most of their money and or most of their hard drive space.  I have always been about getting free music, weather it be illegal or legal, that’s just the way I have always been.  But nowadays doing it the legal way is alot easier seeing as alot more people have given in to the free music game and it is taking over fast.  Now back to TLM we had been friends for many years like I said and I have released several side projects by members of TLM but never of TLM themselves.  I was finally contacted by front man Travis about possibly putting out their live ep through us and I couldn’t say no.  Recorded live at Downtown Music 34 in Harrisonburg , VA on November 19th 2011, I have included the video at the bottom of this post for you viewing pleasure as well.  I would like to thank everyone in the Leviathan’s Mandible for getting this to us and of course for letting us release this.  I would also like to thank everyone who has downloaded, released, or just visited the blog over the past few years, without you all we would be nothing at all.  And from all of us here at ROBO! Robotica we would like to wish you a safe and happy new year, 2011 was awesome but 2012 will be even better. -RR!

This is the soundtrack to your nightmares.  Twisted circuits blind you from what the world really has to offer.  Travis of Richmond Virginia’s The Leviathan’s Mandible bring us his debut solo project The Eaters of the Dead.  The bass on this album will make you groove like some kinda barred out cholo at the club.  At moments you feel like your falling, or even floating just above your chair.  When the zombies run out of flesh to eat The Eaters of the Dead will take care of the rest.  Listen at your own discretion.   -RR!

The weekend of a ton of free music continues with the new project of Fred Huennekens called The Gas Mask.  4 sick tracks of pure blasting mayhem and unadulterated hatred.  You may know Fred of the mighty BAYI who just released their discography with us here,  as well as his main band The Leviathans Mandible, and lets not forget the mighty Death Cries Make Lullabies.  Yeah this guy has been around the block and he knows how to beat it in to your skull the right way.  As always you can get this album for free here on ROBO! Robotica along side 84 others great albums of other great artists from all around the world.  Drink a beer, smoke a joint, grind. -RR!

RR.70 – spring cleaning music volume 2

Part 2 of the most downloaded album in ROBO! Robotica history is finally here!  25 tracks of the most eclectic music you have ever listened to.  Featuring some of the biggest names in the underground scene today from all points of planet Earth.  Using the power of social networking all of these artists have accomplished so much in such a short amount of time.  If you are an older chap you might hate the internet and everything that comes from it.  But when you take into consideration that it is 2011, you are probably in your late 50’s, have kids that are graduating college, and so on.  The internet is one of the most powerful tools available today and without it none of these artists would have gotten together to make this sick compilation of music.  Yes I do like making copies of fliers and passing them out to real people on the street, but nowadays you can just type a few words and presto the entire galaxy knows.  I guess what i’m trying to say is that this is the future of music now.  We don’t take no for an answer and we are all here to stay.  Download this now for free and experience life in a whole new light.  Get a broom, mop, and some cleaning sprays and go at it in your living room.  I assure you that your woman will take the time to thank you with some good sexxin and or money for some precious weed.  It’s Spring time, the smell of roses is in the air.  The smell of some good skunk being burned down the street.  Brisket smoking in the bbq pit.  Topless women drinking beer on lounge chairs.  This is the time, the time is now! Thank you and happy listening/cleaning/smoking/boning! -RR!
